I begin each day early, 5:30 or so. I think mornings are such nice part and probrably my favorite time in the day. I have my faithful radio and hot cup of coffee and I sit quietly. I take in all the sounds of morning: birds, the train, I appreciate the earth and life around me. I think about those most precious to me. And I exhale because I know that pretty soon the phone will start to ring and the daylight will erase the dawn --- pooh!
Ah! it's 7 so I am off and running...first stop will be a stroll to Fiesta for some eggs, yogurt, and cranberry juice. And Carolyn don't forget the green onions and sourcream to 'dollop' on your turkey chili later when lunchtime hits. In a few hours Ron will send his guys over to rrrrrrrr-rip up the porch carpet......can't wait...! Ba HA HA HA Oh! the plans I have will finally manifest and I will have created the perfect porch ( Gene Wilder in Young Frankenstein--like exclaimations, on that last statement!) I think this blog will nave me realizing how much I enjoy waxing literal verbage.....does that make sense? I hope all of you have an amazing day! Cheers!

You were up at 5:30? No wonder, thanks for the coffee!
Okay, a recent photo of me. Though, my hair is back to "normal," brown.
YAY! I can't wait to see what you do with the porch with all that awesome creative stuff you have going on inside you... I vote for your treefrogs... I LOVE them! I really like how your front porch is too, whatever you do there it is on display like a Macy's storefront, VERY excellent advertisement space for your art!
Are you planning on setting up the porch as your working studio? I can't remember, but it seems like there is great light streaming through the front windows into that room. I can just see you painting there with all your wonderful fat cats lolling about your feet as you work! Very cool Carolyn!
p.s. I like how you describe your mornings... I very much like being shrouded in the morning quiet too... that is on the very rare occasion that I actually get up that early with time to spare :)
HEY HEY MICHAEL-ANN!! I was definitely thinking about painting out there for the very reason you mentioned: windows!cats!a snort of tequila every now and then...HA HA!
I hadn't thought about frogs until you mentioned them AND here's a thought--I could paint a cool jungle/forest mural all along that back wall wih flora and fawna. It may even be a chance to illustrate my enjoyment of animals while fulfilling my childhood desire to be a photographer for Nat'l Geographic! AHA!! See what you started?! Thanks Doll!!:)
like a Macy's storefront!
i keep waiting, hoping someday for a call...(that i'm a long-lost relative!)
painting in sun-dappled spaces, cats, early morning reveries and tequila: it's ALL GOOD!!! and speaking of tequila, Lidia brought me some back from Mexico.
woo hoo!!!
Go Tequila Woman!Yeah Lydia for bringing you the nectar straight from Meh-He-Coe!!!!!Ar-riba!Right now Im in the midst of scraping a truckload of glue off the porch!!! The folks who put carpet down out there must've been from Glueville,USA...Yikes!Too bad cause the floor underneath is in pretty good shape. I think it's the only part not covered in plywood in this entire house!Cheers!! Have a snort of tequila for me, wouldja! ?? :)
Frogs, tequila, murals and world renowned photographers and all I really noted was that there's sour cream and green onions in the fridge! Woo Hoo!
Oh how sad that I found out what's in the refrigerator by reading my wife's blog! Thank you Carolyn! Chili here I come!
